I hope this letter finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of the Youth Leadership Authority (YLA) to invite you to support an incredible opportunity for local youth to participate in the 2025 Retreat Challenge.
This Retreat Challenge is an intensive, two-day experience designed to challenge students professionally, physically, personally, and spiritually.
Our collaboration with the Navy Seals, Marine Corps and Henderson Police and Fire Departments equip them with the necessary skills to be responsible and respectful citizens of the United States of America.
The Youth Leadership Authority Retreat Challenge, taking place May 3-4, 2025, at the Henderson Fire Training Center and Veterans Park in Boulder City, will immerse students in a comprehensive program that fosters personal, professional, spiritual, and physical development.
The retreat Challenge is modeled after the leadership and service-minded principles upheld by the military, first responders, and community leaders.
It teaches YLA core values of honesty, respect, peace, kindness, and humility through real-world challenges and hands-on training with mentors from the Henderson Police Department, Henderson Fire Department, the United States Marine Corps, the US Navy, and the Navy Seals.
This retreat is an excellent opportunity for young people to cultivate leadership, resilience, and a deep sense of civic duty.
Participants will undergo physical and mental training, including fitness challenges, trust exercises, and career development talks that will leave them with valuable tools for adulthood.
This experience will inspire them to embody a positive professional manner, respect for others, and the courage to serve their communities, ultimately making them heroes who serve and protect this country.
However, the cost to attend this transformative program is $1,900 per student (Starfish).
We are reaching out to you to help make this experience possible for as many youth as possible.
Your generous donation will help cover the expenses for students who otherwise may not be able to attend due to financial limitations.
