It is with great sadness that we announce YLA, nor Marie Tomao-Miklosko no longer has any affiliation with Devil Pups, Inc. (“DPI”) as of November 18, 2024.
YLA, Southern Nevada Devil Pups, and Marie Tomao-Miklosko have been informed by new leadership that DPI recently changed its intake process regarding how to prepare candidates to attend the DPI encampment.
DPI will no longer allow us to prepare our youth through pre-conditioning that meets the quality assurance, oversight, standards, and/or safety protocols we insist on to keep our youth safe or to produce the outcomes we have achieved. DPI’s own encampment physician has declared it would be unsafe to send our youth to the encampment without the rigorous preparation to which we are accustomed. Our results and experience over the past 21 years speaks for themselves.
We should all be incredibly proud of the hundreds of accomplishments that we have collectively achieved.
YLA is also excited to announce that our professional, dedicated, and honorable board members, career development coaches, facilitators, and instructors have created our very own Summer Leadership Series (SLS) that will end with “The Forge”.
SLS and “The Forge” are
for an elite group of teenagers who desire to be adventurous while accomplishing life-changing challenges that will set them apart from their peers.
We will not cease in our efforts to continue to provide the highest quality programs through YLA’S:
- A Safe Place to Land Series (ASPTL)
- Summer Leadership Series – “The Forge” (SLS & TF)
- Bachelors/Masters Eagle Series; that our local youth deserve. (BME)
Our Full Program Schedule and Catalog will be out by February 25th, 2025. We will have more information in March of 2025 on SLS and The Forge.
We cannot wait to share our vision with our youth, their families, and our fabulous sponsors!
