Elevated Excellence in Action
YLA Bachelors Masters Eagles Guard Series (BMEGS) | 2025 Physical Challenge Day Recap
Youth Leadership Authority (YLA) recently wrapped up one of our most powerful events to date—the 2025 Bachelors Masters Eagles Guard Series Physical Challenge Day, featuring intensive leadership and physical training with the United States Navy SEALs and Marine Corps!

Thanks to a strong community partnership with Chief Scott Vivier and the Henderson Fire Department, our Eagles and Guard had the opportunity to train at their state-of-the-art facility—pushing their limits, building strength, and learning firsthand what it means to serve with honor, courage, and commitment.

THIS is how legends are made.
Throughout the day, our student leaders demonstrated resilience and tenacity. They shined, thrived, and soared like Eagles, while our Master-level students stood strong, guarding and guiding them through every challenge.
In addition to physical feats, these young leaders also showcased their character by completing their first Passion Project Presentation, raising and donating over $400 of their own money to feed the homeless in our community. That’s leadership in action.
We are especially proud of these outcomes:
- 5 students planning to join the United States Marine Corps
- 2 students aspiring to attend the Naval Academy
- 2 future police officers
- 2 aspiring firefighters
- 1 still exploring options—but fired up for service!

We were honored to have the Navy SEALs with us, not only leading training exercises but also sharing real-world leadership stories from their missions, including their work in Iraq against ISIS. Their presence left a lasting impression on every student.

As always, the United States Marine Corps showed up with unmatched enthusiasm and commitment. Special thanks to our new YLA Board Members, Gunnery Sgt. Liaga and Staff Sgt. Fredrick, and to Corporal Magnus Yuen for his ongoing support.

We’re deeply grateful to the sponsors who make this all possible:
AC Pro, Gene Haas Foundation, and Master Mechanical—your generosity funds every step of this journey and is helping transform lives.
