YLA's 12-Week Physical Training Leadership Program

During this program, students will attend two meetings per week with our YLA Marine Instructors.

Participants will address the 14- leadership traits of the United States Marine Corps: JJDIDTIEBUCKLE (Justice, Judgement, Dependability, Initiative, Decisiveness, Tact, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Bearing, Unselfishness, Courage, Knowledge, Loyalty and Endurance).

YLA - Physical Training Leadership Program

There is a focus on physical training, career choice opportunities that is intertwined with motivational speakers that speak on (esteem, conflict resolution, critical thinking, career choices, patriotism and our core values- H.R.P.K.H. = honesty, respect, peace, kindness, humility).

We are deeply rooted in Marine Corps ethos. As such, our mentorship program is focused around the 14 leadership traits of the United States Marine Corps: (Justice, Judgement, Dependability, Initiative, Decisiveness, Tact, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Bearing, Unselfishness, Courage, Knowledge, Loyalty and Endurance).

Participants will also receive basic financial literacy education. The above is Intertwined with community service for homeless teens, homeless adults, and to honor veterans in the United State of America.

* To graduate from this program, all participants must complete a minimum of 24 hours of community service towards the betterment of the community.

** Participants must have a minimum fitness score of 210/400 (pushups, sit-ups, pull-ups and running), patriotic knowledge, the benefits and application of consistently honoring of the 14 leadership traits of the Marine Corps into their personal, school and family lives.
