The Youth Leadership Authority (YLA) is fired up for the 2025 Retreat Challenge, happening this weekend, May 3–4, 2025! 🔥
Our Challenge is officially at capacity, and we can’t wait to welcome our motivated students for an unforgettable two days of growth, grit, and leadership development. Held at the Henderson Fire Training Center and Veterans Park in Boulder City, this experience is designed to push students beyond their limits—professionally, physically, personally, and spiritually.
Participants will train alongside elite mentors from the U.S. Navy SEALs, Marine Corps, Henderson Police Department, and Henderson Fire Department. Through fitness challenges, trust-building exercises, and real-world leadership training, they’ll put YLA’s core values—honesty, respect, peace, kindness, and humility—into action.
This weekend is more than just a challenge—it’s a launchpad for the next generation of leaders. Let’s get after it! 💪🏽
YLA Connects with the Homeschool Community at NEVCON!
The Youth Leadership Authority (YLA) recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Nevada Homeschool Convention (NEVCON)—and it was a huge success!
Hosted by a group of dedicated homeschooling mothers, NEVCON was created to provide support, encouragement, and education for homeschooling families across Nevada. The event brought together a thriving community of parents and students, offering a space to connect, grow, and celebrate the joy of home education. From first-time homeschoolers to seasoned veterans, NEVCON provided resources, friendships, and inspiration for all who attended.
YLA’s Eagles and Guards had a blast sharing their personal journeys, speaking about their experiences in YLA’s leadership programs over the past two to four years. Teaming up with representatives from the United States Marines and the Navy Warrior Challenge Team, YLA helped inspire countless students and families to explore new leadership and service opportunities.
