The Youth Leadership Authority (YLA) is thrilled to announce the 2025 Retreat Challenge, a transformative two-day experience designed to push students to new heights—professionally, physically, personally, and spiritually.
Taking place May 3-4, 2025, at the Henderson Fire Training Center and Veterans Park in Boulder City, this retreat is a unique opportunity for young leaders to develop resilience, discipline, and a deep sense of civic responsibility. Participants will train alongside members of the U.S. Navy SEALs, Marine Corps, Henderson Police Department, and Henderson Fire Department, learning firsthand the principles of leadership, service, and integrity.
Modeled after the leadership and service values upheld by the military, first responders, and community mentors, the Retreat Challenge teaches YLA’s core values—honesty, respect, peace, kindness, and humility—through real-world challenges and hands-on training. Students will engage in fitness challenges, trust exercises, and career development sessions, gaining valuable skills that will prepare them for success in adulthood.

While the experience is invaluable, the cost to attend is $1,900 per student (Starfish). To ensure that financial limitations don’t prevent young people from participating, we are seeking support from those who believe in shaping the next generation of leaders.
