3 years ago…. YLA’s Founder Marie Tomao and her better half Sam graduated from LB2 and as Master Grads. Marie has taken 2 additional courses with Dale Carnegie since then.
On October 14, 2020, she was named WODA’s 2020 “Education” Award Winner. For the work she has accomplished with the non-profit she founded, Youth Leadership Authority.
Marie’s experience at collaborations of leadership programs have been most beneficial for her in her personal and professional journey. That is the reason she created YLA. To offer and host a collaboration of helpful personal and professional leadership programs, to set teens on a solid career path of happiness and leadership. For 17 years, Youth Leadership Authority has had a positive impact on Southern Nevada youth. 82% of our program graduates go on to college and 42% move into careers in the military, fire, police or first responders
